My wife gifted me the knifemaking course for my birthday (great gift), I had a ton of fun. Grey's an amazing instructor and I highly recommend this course for anyone who has has an interest in metallurgy and/or crafting.

The class is divided in two parts:
Day 1. We start with a rough pattern and raw materials for the blade, handle and sheath, from there Grey teaches you how to refine the shape of your material, grind in the bevels, heat treat the blade with fire🔥 quench it and draw back the temper.
Day 2. We select a material for the handle, shape that, attach it to your blade and then add some contours and smooth it out with sandpaper. Grey has a bunch of sheath templates that we cut in leather and a bunch of colors and dyes and different kinds and colors of thread to customize your sheath as you make it.

Overall, I learned a bunch of new things. I developed some useful skills and ended up with my very own handmade custom knife. ~ John

The Intro to Forging class was amazing! Grey did a great job of ensuring we had an enjoyable experience and learned along the way to crafting our unique knives. This class even inspired my husband to want to learn more about the craft and eventually have his own forge in our barn. 100% recommend taking any of Firebrand Productions' classes, and we certainly will be back for more! ~Billi
