Our classes will have you craft your very own knife, from start to finish. Guided by our in house bladesmith Grey, we will guide you through every aspect of knife making from basic metallurgy and design through heat treating and finishing. Working with professional equipment and with 20+ years experience, Grey will walk you through the entire process, dispelling the myth and mystery surrounding knife making. In an intensive two day class the novice knife maker will walk away with a firm grasp of the knife making process and knife that you will be proud to call your own.
Students who have taken our intro class will have the option to take future classes in our shop taking on more challenging work to help expand their knowledge and skills.

Our intro class will teach you the basics of heating and forming steel under the hammer. We start with high quality steel and through care we manipulate, twist and bend, creating a simple blacksmiths’ knife.
Our intro class will walk you through the basics of weaving chainmail. From winding coils, to cutting rings and finally weaving them together, this class will give you a firm grasp on the art of medieval armor making.
Our paracrod whip making class will have you craft your very own 6 foot whip. From prepping the paracord to properly weighting the handle to multi plait weaving, you’ll leave with an amazing handmade product that’ll crack like thunder.
This class takes your basic knife making skill and turns up the heat. We start with a basic design and dress it up. Some of the topics covered are, differential hardening, polishing and various blade finishes, bolsters, hidden tang construction and more.
Take your knife skills to the next level with a knife that won the frontier. The Bowie knife is an American classic and can best be classified as BIG. From false edge, to fitting the guard, hidden tang to leather craft sheath (sheath included), the Bowie is a robust blade that is sure to be the show piece in your collection. This class is limited to one student at a time, and is for those who have taken the introduction class.
